What services do you provide?Our major support services include Home Networking, Repairs & Tune Ups, Upgrade Your Gear, Web & Email Security, Data Services and Show Me How, but if it's something that involves a computer, chances are we can help. Just get in touch and we can chat about what you need. Although we don't support Mac hardware and software problems, we can network Mac computers. |
Are there services you don't offer?For the moment we don't offer support for Macs (except for networking), businesses with over 5 computers or older versions of Microsoft Windows (apart from upgrades to XP). We apologise if this inconveniences you, but stay tuned because we're working on it! Also, Gizmotechs aren't equipped to carry out electrical work, do extensive cabling or affix gadgets to walls. For this sort of work we recommend asking your local tradesperson. |
What if I really don't know what the problem is?The You Tell Me Gizmopack may be the best place to start. We come to you, review your system and recommend the best service for you. If you decide to go ahead while we're there, we'll deduct the cost of the original review from your bill - so you only pay for the exact service you need! |
Do you provide services in my area?Our home visit services cover Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra, Perth, Hobart and Adelaide metro areas only, however we can offer phone and remote support Australia-wide. We are planning on expanding our home service rapidly and if you would like us to email you when we launch in your area, please complete our online form and enter your postcode. |
What do your fixed rate prices include?Prices cover labour only (i.e. they do not include hardware or software) and prices are fixed regardless of how long we spend. We also offer a No Fix No Fee Guarantee so you only pay if we can solve your issue. |
Do you sell hardware components and software?Yes. We sell and carry a range of leading hardware components and selected software brands at competitive prices. You can purchase these from us, or we are also happy to install and support most software purchased from your preferred retailer. |
Do you offer computer training?While we don't offer formal training courses, we do have our handy Show Me! Gizmopack that is a package designed to help you learn more about using almost anything related to computers, gadgets and technology. You tell us something you'd love to be able to do, and we'll come to your place and show you how. |

What if I need you to do more than one service?If you need extra services while we're at your place, simply pay for one and get any other services you like (of equal or lower value) for 25% off! This discount only applies to services performed on the same day. If you are having a job performed remotely over the phone, additional services are entitled to a 20% discount if booked and performed on the same day. |
How do I pay?For convenience, speed and security, we take most major credit cards. When you call to book we will ask for your credit card details. Once the service is complete, we will process the payment and email you an invoice. There is no charge for the initial phone assessment of your requirements. |
What can I expect of the Gizmotech who comes to my home?Your Gizmotech will arrive in uniform and identify themselves as a member of the Gizmo team. They will start by running through a few questions to work out the best approach to your solution, before confirming the quoted price for the work and ask you to agree to the solution. You'll find our Gizmotechs friendly, professional and polite. |
What do I need to know before I have a Gizmotech visit my home?An adult (18 years or older) needs to be around the whole time that your Gizmotech is at work. We'll need access to your gear and a safe place to work. We'll also need you there to answer any questions about your solution. |
What about protecting the data on my PC?Doing any kind of technical work on a computer involves some risk of losing data. Because there is no way to 100% guarantee data protection, we strongly recommend that you back up all your information before we arrive. We also offer a full back up service if you need a hand. We also ask you to sign a disclaimer about data before we can start work. |
Do you outsource work to third parties?No. Any Gizmotech that you deal with will be a fully fledged member of our team. That way we can maintain strict standards of knowledge and professionalism. |
